Well it seems like it’s been forever since I posted anything, but now that I’ve played video games nonstop for fourish days I have something to talk about. During Steam’s summer sale I purchased Borderlands; This is a game I played once on the 360, and had a lot of fun playing. This game is seriously addicting. In fact I’m posting this after about 5 hours of straight game play. If you’re a PC gamer and don’t mind downloading games directly to your hard drive it’s on sell on Steam until 10am Pacific Time along with the other top sellers from throughout Steam’s entire sale. So basically if you wake up in time to read this you have about 6 hours to buy some cheapish PC games.
There’s a bit of lag, but I think it’s coming a long nicely. :D Hopefully they can fix it before it comes out though.
What better way to start a nerdy blog off than talk about the E3 stuff I liked? Well of course being a broke 17 year old I wasn’t able to go myself but I tend to follow the interesting stuff.
Let’s start with the xbox 360 kinect… It seems like the world just doesn’t want us to sit down and play games anymore. Everything has to be motion controlled now. I know so many Americans are over weight but seriously… at least with the wii we can still sit still for some games.
LoZ Skyward Sword… FINALLY! Another Zelda game! Let’s be honest most people bought the wii hoping for a good fps or sword fighting game and we get A LOT of casual games. The only thing I think my wii is good for is core games and aside from the Super Mario series we don’t really get any so let’s hope Link’s next adventure is just as good or better than Twilight Princess.
Nintendo 3DS… Ugh, just what nintendo needs… ANOTHER DS… Where is our HD wii? I’m skeptic about the 3D graphics without the glasses. All the other attempts at this have seemed to fail, and Nintendo’s plan to sell 3D movies for it doesn’t seem like a good idea… I mean Sony had problems marketing movies on UMD for the PSP.
